The DNC Takes A Swipe At McCain

This is probably effective.

If only because it reminds everyone what a clusterf*ck the run-up to the invasion of Iraq was.

Noted #1: The ad's effectiveness is greatly diminished if McCain runs against Hillary Clinton.

Noted #2: Yeah, we get it, Barack Obama opposed the Iraq War from the start. In the Illinois state senate. Which is kind of like saying that GMP1 opposed the Iraq War from the start (we did too, loudly, but now support the surge, which puts us in a minority demographic).

However...

McCain's argument that we broke it, we bought it in Iraq might be difficult to swallow, but it's accurate. And with 1/3 of the world's proven oil reserves under Iraqi sand, does anyone really believe that American troops are going anywhere? Regardless of the President or Party in power?

No, the troops aren't going anywhere. For at least 10 years. So let's give the troops the tools they need to do their job and get the hell out of their way (looking right at you, Democratic Party).

And if the brutal business of Empire and $3 dollar a gallon gasoline ticks you off (like it does us), ask yourself what kind of car you drove to work this morning.

And then ask yourself why you don't know more about McCain/Clinton/Obama's plan to promote the growth of alternative energy sources.

This country sent a man to the moon in 10 years. We can certainly say goodbye, totally, to fossil fuels in the next 10.

We're just saying.
