Thought Of The Day: Is The Democratic Party...

...really prepared to "allow" a few hundred people at a Denver gathering to "give" the nomination to Hillary Clinton?

Yes, you can squabble over what "allow" and "give" mean. But, for all intents and purposes, "allow" and "give" used in this scenario mean exactly what a 5th grader would think that they meant.

If Hillary Clinton makes the convention (and we think that she does) the smart money that we're talking to believes that she has between a 4 in 10 and a 2 in 10 shot of pulling the nomination off.

It's absolutely incredible if you think about it. We mean, really f*cking incredible.

After all that's happened in the Democratic race so far. All the miles traveled. All the ink spilled. All the speeches given. All the money spent. All the man hours invested. All the millions of votes cast...

And after all that the race could very well end with a couple hundred people "giving" the nomination to a candidate who doesn't lead in either pledged delegates or the popular vote.

Wow.
