Barack Obama Gets Mortimer And Ruth Caplin!?!?!!??

Time's Karen Tumulty has the details of a brief Kennedy/Caplin/Obama run-in at American University yesterday.

And dammit, this puts us in a little bit of a bind. Because it looks like Mr. Caplin supports Barack Obama. And if Mr. Caplin supports Barack Obama, it's a good chance (but by no means certain) that his wife, Ruth, supports Barack Obama.

And there is no "good Democrat" in this world who we respect more than Ruth Caplin. We adore her. She spent many an hour, patiently, mentoring us. And we could not be more grateful.

So forget Ted Kennedy.

If Ruth feels good about Senator Obama, we might have to take a second look at the Democratic Primary.
