Dinner For Five? Team Obama Tries Something Interesting

Everyone knows that 2nd quarter fundraising numbers are almost due.

Oh boy. Oh boy. Oh boy.

Noted: GreenMountainPolitics1 has absolutely no intention of getting involved in that guessing game. What's the point?

However, we just got a fundraising email from Team Obama that we think is worth pointing out. The email says (in part):

Too often, presidential campaigns are dominated by lobbyists and the special interests that host high-rolling political fundraisers.

But our campaign is different.

Our funding comes from a movement of Americans giving whatever they can afford -- even $5 -- and Barack wants to sit down with supporters like you.

If you've ever thought about making a donation to join our campaign, now is the time. This week, four supporters will be selected for a new kind of fundraising dinner. We're reserving two of those seats for new donors like you.

If you make a donation in any amount between now and 11:59 pm EDT on Wednesday, June 13, you could join Barack and three other supporters for an intimate dinner for five.
Honestly, we think that this is a great idea. No snark.

And we hope that Team Obama films the dinner.

Because you can tell a lot about a Presidential candidate by watching him (or her) interact with 4 mortals in an intimate setting for an hour. Which should make Obama's whole experiment very interesting.

Very interesting indeed.
