Huckabee-Thompson Debate?

Be careful what you ask for.

Fred Thompson, defending his decision not to participate in last Wednesday's GOP debate in New Hampshire, told several media outlets that he didn't think too highly of the Fox/NH GOP multi-candidate debate format.

Thompson went on to remark that he would prefer a series of one-on-one debates.

Which Team Huckabee immediately agreed to participate in.

We hope that Team Thompson takes Huckabee up on his offer.

The debate would be great for the voters. Great for the process (especially in NH). And great for the candidates.

But we're not holding our breath that Thompson starts running a campaign from any closer than 30,000 feet.
